By accumulating our research experience, we offer an improved approach of game testing with the use of advanced neuroscientific capabilities to study the behaviour of gamers during gameplay and their perception of gaming process.

Goals
of game testing

  • Studying the perception of the game among the target audience: attractiveness of the plot, main characters, levels
  • Identifying how the difficulty levels are perceived, cognitive load
  • Testing the convenience of the interface/ finding technical difficulties in the process of completing the game
  • General perception of the visual design, graphic elements and gameplay (including comparison to competitors’ benchmarks in relevant category), as well as attractiveness of the music and other sound effects
  • Studying the emotional state of players during gameplay, identifying positive/negative moments, strengths and weaknesses

Research Objects

Objects of the research can be any kinds of computer/ mobile/ VR games of various genres (including esports) for players of different ages: children, teenagers, adults.

Equipment and methods used

In order to achieve our goals we use a complex methodology that combines classical research methods and neurotools to identify applied and targeted insights.

Obtained metrics and indicators
  • Attention - what the gamer is looking at in the process of playing the game
  • Emotional Involvement and emotional reactions in the process of playing the game
  • Efficiency and cognitive load
